Your dad, Uncle Pete and I used to get chased by a junk yard dog while sitting on the tailgate of our old station wagon in the 70’s. Grandpa would put us back there on our way up to the woodlot in Dogtown. He would let our dog, Dusty, out of the car just before the junk yard too. There was a lot of dust, yelling, screaming and barking. I’ll never forget the fear and excitement. I bet you’ll never forget those dogs. They must be protecting their owners’ homes. Amazing how you encounter things that are so unique to each state.
Yeah, dogs are a little scary when they chase and bark aggressively, but apparently I’ll be missing the worst of it in eastern Kentucky (since my route will be cutting north)
