July 13, 2023 – Newton, Kansas to Toronto, Kansas – Up early and out before the sun, which would bring another day of extreme oppressive head and headwinds. Today I would hit 2000 miles, and would you know it, it would be in Eureka, Kansas! I would end up at Woodson Cove Campground outside the town of Toronto, Kansas. The hot, stale, still air inside the tent, and threats of powerful thunderstorms hung heavy on me as I tried to get to sleep. I’ll be looking for a hotel for some relief tomorrow!!
